The University Psychological Counseling Division organized, on Wednesday (31/12/2025), a joyful celebration marking the birth anniversary of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib, and his grandson Imam Muhammad al-Jawad (peace be upon them). The event was held at Imam al-Mujtaba Hall (peace be upon him) on campus.
The celebration was attended by the President of Al-Ameed University, Prof. Dr. Jawdat Nouri Al-Jashami, the Administrative and Legal Assistant to the University President, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Karim Abdul Rahim, along with a number of college deans and their assistants, academic and administrative staff, and a large gathering of university students.
The program featured a variety of segments, beginning with the recitation of verses from the Holy Qur’an, delivered by the medical student Mousa Ahmed. This was followed by a religious lecture presented by Sheikh Hani Al-Rubaie, in which he highlighted the lofty values and noble principles embodied by Imam Ali and Imam Muhammad al-Jawad (peace be upon them) throughout their lives, as exemplary models of knowledge, wisdom, justice, and service to humanity. The event also included religious chants and devotional hymns performed by the vocalist Amir Mohammed, capturing the spiritual atmosphere of this blessed occasion. The celebration concluded with a cultural competition featuring questions on the lives of the two Imams (peace be upon them), followed by the distribution of gifts to the winners.
This event forms part of a series of activities and programs organized by Al-Ameed University to reinforce its academic, educational, and humanitarian mission, inspired by the values and teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and to instill the principles of ethics and knowledge in the hearts and minds of students.
